The Young and the Restless - 2000

Victoria was falling for shy marketing expert Gary Dawson. At the same time, she was receiving mysterious fan letters. The police suspected Larry Warton but when he was arrested the letters kept coming. Victoria discovered a collage of photos on Gary's wall and realized, too late, that he was her stalker. Gary kidnapped her and held her hostage in the old Newman treehouse. Paul and Nick figured it out and rescued her.

The Young and the Restless - 2001

After knocking Victoria Newman unconscious, Tricia Dennison walks down the aisle in her wedding dress, shocking Victoria's groom-to-be, Ryan McNeil. When she spots Victoria coming into the chapel she pulls out a gun and Ryan jumps in front of the pistol to save his lady love. He later died at Genoa City Memorial Hosptial.

Raul Guittierez had a persistent cold that would not go away. He complained of being thirsty all the time, his eyes bothered him, and was consuming a lot of sweets. Billy Abbott and Rianna Minor found him unconscious. Dr. Olivia Winters diagnosed Raul with Type 1 diabetes.

The evil Carter Mills aka Matt Carter tried to frame Nick Newman once again by calling him into his hospital room, yanking out his ventilator tube and placing it into Nick's hand just as a police officer entered Matt's hospital room. Warton convinced authorities that Matt was demented enough to frame Nick for murder by actually committing suicide.

The Young and the Restless - 2002

The possibility of remarrying Nikki sent Victor Newman on soul-searching journey, re-visiting all his former wives and lovers. When he returned to Genoa City much wiser and sure that his heart belonged to Nikki, Victor exchanged vows with Nikki once again.

On a remote shoot in Africa, Malcolm Winters overheard his girlfriend Alex Perez had feelings for his brother Neil but took off before he heard that she was staying true to Malcolm. A bridge collapsed and Malcolm's body was never found. Three years later, Malcolm revealed that he had survived.

The Young and the Restless - 2003

The crazy Isabella Brana tried to frame Christine Williams for murder. She poured a pool of her own blood on the floor and disappeared. Chris woke up in her car, miles away with scratch marks on her arms and blood on her hands. Later, Isabella turned up in Chris' bed with a butcher knife and dragged the drugged attorney to the bathtub with plans to drown her. Paul and Michael arrived in time to save the day. Isabella was carted off to the loony bin.

Katherine Chancellor suffers a stroke when it was revealed that her long lost child was none other than Jill Abbott! Needless to say this information changes their relationship (and many others) forever. Young lovers MacKenzie Browning and Billy Abbott are devastated by the news, which makes them first cousins and they skip town.

The Young and the Restless - 2004

Michael Baldwin was reunited with his brother Kevin Fisher and his mother Gloria. Michael was able to bond with his troubled brother after Kevin was almost killed by fellow inmates while serving time in jail. Gloria wasted no time looking for a new man in her life and quickly bonded with the rich John Abbott.

Daniel Romalotti Jr. returned to Genoa City but didn't want to have anything to do with his mother Phyllis. Eventually, Daniel realized that his father lied when he told Daniel that his mother had abandoned him, causing a rift between the two. Daniel formed an uneasy alliance with Phyllis.

The Young and the Restless - 2005

It was the crash that reverberated throughout Genoa City when an underage Cassie Newman got behind the wheel of a car to drive a drunk Daniel Romalotti home. The car crashed, Daniel had no memory of the incident and Cassie developed an infection and died. Daniel was later cleared of all charges but Cassie's death left a chill in the Wisconsin air.

The Young and the Restless - 2006

Everyone was a suspect when Carmen Mesta was found murdered behind Neil Winters' jazz club Indigo. Drucilla Winters was at the top of the list because of Carmen's budding attraction to Neil but later the killer was revealed to be Kevin's girlfriend, Jana Hawkes, who was caught up in the Grudgeon Reliquary mystery.

Brad Carlton turned out to be George Kaplan, a boy who stole his best friend's identity after his family was slaughtered by Nazi treasure hunters. The Grudgeon Reliquary treasure was behind the murders of Brad/George's father and sister. Brad/George and his mother went on the run. Victor Newman teamed up with Brad to find the treasure.

The Young and the Restless celebrates 100 Emmy wins and gears up for the 35th Anniversary of America's #1 Daytime Drama for the past 18 years.
